چکیده
Prior studies examining racial disparities in cutaneous melanoma have found that Black patients (BPs) present at a later stage than non-Hispanic White (NHWPs). However, previous not assessed whether there are differences the thickness of primary lesions between BPs and NHWPs, nor they examined detail socioeconomic status (SES) body location (PBL) as potential explanations for noted. This study sought to determine distribution NHWPs matched histologic subtype, controlling SES PBL. A retrospective, case-control diagnosed within University Pennsylvania Health System 1986 2016 was performed. were by subtype four 10 years each BP. Univariate multivariate logistic regression Forty-one with fulfilled eligibility criteria. The mostly male (22 [53.7%]) had mean age diagnosis 63.4 (SD=16.5) years. Of 41 BPs, 30 (73.2%) invasive lesions. median 2.25mm (IQR=4.28) 0.57mm (IQR=1.05) (p=<0.001), respectively. On univariate analysis, more likely >4.00mm (24.4% vs. 1.8% NHWPs; OR = 21.76, 95% CI: 5.99 – 104.70). analysis melanomas, PBL SES, when compared (OR=12.8; 2.32 85.18). presented greater location. Our findings indicate might be delay community explained or issues related site such visibility may directions public health messaging research initiatives.

P53 antigen expression in cutaneous Melanoma and its relation to tumor thickness
Background: P53 tumor suppressor gene mutation is one of the most common genetic alterations in human malignancies. The mutated from of the gene is stable and can be detected with immunohistochemistry methods. There is much controversy about the expression rate of this gene in malignant melanoma. Objective: To determine the frequency of the P53 antigen expression by sex, age, type and thickness...

Prognostic value of tumour thickness in cutaneous malignant melanoma.
The relation between survival and histological features in 91 patients with malignant melanoma was studied and the results were analysed by Clayton's method for interpretation of censored survival data. There was a significant correlation between tumour thickness and survival. The risk of dying from malignant melanoma after 10 years of follow up was less than 15% if the primary tumour was less ...

Background and Objective: The primary goal of this study is to develop a rigorous understanding ofthe correlation between COX-2 expression and malignant melanoma prognostic factors. Material and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, we analyzed 60 cases of cutaneous malignant melanoma. The related stained slides were reviewed by two pathologists. The re...
متن کاملPreoperative measurement of cutaneous melanoma and nevi thickness with photoacoustic imaging.
Photoacoustic imaging (PAI) is an emerging biomedical imaging technology, which can potentially be used in the clinic to preoperatively measure melanoma thickness and guide biopsy depth and sample location. We recruited 27 patients with pigmented cutaneous lesions suspicious for melanoma to test the feasibility of a handheld linear-array photoacoustic probe in imaging lesion architecture and me...
